No, people with Down syndrome are not always happy, but I do agree with the thoughts in this video. Some parents are offended by the stereotype of people with Down syndrome being these loving, sweet people, but in my experience, it has been true, and it is not a bad thing. Of course, they have emotions and up and downs like everyone else, but the people I have gotten to know with Down syndrome have been amazing people that I was drawn to. If my child had to have a stereotype, being viewed as a blessing and gift isn't too bad.
