My glucose test is next Tuesday. Thankfully I don't have to fast like last time. They now allow you to have breakfast as long as it's not food with concentrated sugar. I was given a list of suggestions and no-no's when I left the doctor's office. So for those of you who aren't sure what a glucose test is, here's the run-down. Drink a sugary mixture from a bottle (50 grams of glucose), wait an hour, get your blood drawn. If your blood sugar is too high (possibly indicating gestational diabetes) you get to come back another day, and do the same thing, only 4 times in a row over a 3 hour period! Sure hope I do well the first time!
